Good Morning World from Adelaide - only 8.30.a.m. and lots done already.

Weather fine, mood good - a whole day ahead to be enjoyed.

There are elections taking place in many places of the world and I was thinking overnight how much we take for granted - we just assume the right to vote and yet there are many who fought and struggled to give us this right.

I am inspired by people such as Emmaline Pankhurst who, with her two daughters fought and brought about suffrage for women.  This happened in 1928 after a long and difficult struggle.  I admire such determination and whenever there is an election I think of her and my own daughters will clearly state, that they were told from an early age to "value the fact that they have the right to vote - women chained themselves to railings to bring about that right."

I claim that right with pride and love all the discussion and debate about politics and government.   Thank you to Emmaline and her sisters - you inspire me.

I had a very indulgent day yesterday - some great "retail therapy" - two pairs of shoes, some books, some nightdresses - ready for the hospital bag. There were lots of other little things bought.

When I got home I did indulge myself again, by sitting in the sun with a coffee and my book and read for a while.  Then I just sat there with the sun on my back and a song in my heart and thought about how good life is for me.

I hope your weekend is going well and that you too are able to spend some time feeding your inner soul, making memories with your children, enjoying friendship and laughter.

Have fun and treat our beautiful world kindly and gently.

Love and hugs,

"Memory is the diary that we all carry about with us."
